The popular benchmark platform AnTuTu has published the first smartphone performance rating this year, which continues an obvious trend: as new devices with Snapdragon 888 are released, they will fill the top lines of the charts. And now Vivo IQOO 7 is at the highest place with 728 points.
Last month's leader, the Xiaomi Mi 11, dropped to the second line, and it's also built on Qualcomm's new 5nm chip.
Although these are all representatives of the SnaCdragon 888 SoC, they are followed by smartphones with Kirin 9000 and many devices with Snapdragon 865 on board. Note that 8 of the top 10 smartphones received a 12/256 GB memory configuration. The trend is obvious.
The mid-range hasn't seen much change either, with MediaTek's SoC at the top, while Kirin makes up the majority of the rankings. Just mark the appearance in the list of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G on Snapdragon 750G.
We remind you that today's AnTuTu number, although it is not a true indicator of efficiency, allows us to trace trends. The real performance of each smartphone can only be measured by real tasks.
IDC: The smartphone market has returned to growth
The experts of the analytical company IDC summed up the results of the fourth quarter of 2020 and in general for the year in the smartphone market. As noted in the corresponding report, the smartphone market has returned to growth. Sales in the fourth quarter of 2020 amounted to 385,9 million units, which is 4,3% more than the smartphones sold in the fourth quarter of 2019. At the same time, for the whole of 2020, smartphones were sold 5,9% less than in 2019.

The third place is taken by Xiaomi. Its share increased from 8,9% to 11,2%. Oppo and Huawei also entered the top five. Oppo's share also increased from 8,3% to 8,8%. Huawei's share decreased from 15,2% to 8,4%.
