Recently, at the MWC 2024 exhibition held in Barcelona, OPPO introduced the prototype of a new generation of augmented reality glasses, OPPO Air Glass 3. OPPO Air Glass 3 can connect to OPPO Andes GPT through a smartphone, providing a new experience with artificial intelligence. Ahead of the event, OPPO also announced the establishment of the OPPO Artificial Intelligence Center and released the OPPO AI Smartphone White Paper, marking a new era in which the transition from conventional smartphones to AI smartphones is taking place.
At this year's MWC, OPPO in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and the AlpsenTek startup presented a new AI Motion algorithm based on hybrid vision sensor (HVS) technology, which adds clarity to photo and video recording of high-speed moving objects. In addition, OPPO introduced a number of products with partners such as: Google, Qualcomm Technologies and MediaTek, and announced that OPPO smartphone users will soon be able to connect their phones to Microsoft Copilot.
The world's lightest binocular glasses with artificial intelligence
With the ability to understand different types of data (text, images, video and audio), multimodal AI technology is able to process and interpret more complex user scenarios, opening up new potential in voice and visual interaction. Guided by this vision, OPPO introduced the all-new OPPO Air Glass 3 prototype to explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence technology based on the collaboration between XR (augmented reality) devices and smartphones.
Weighing only 50 grams, OPPO Air Glass 3 features a self-developed fiberglass waveguide with a refractive index of 1,70, display brightness uniformity of over 50%, and a peak brightness of over 1000 nits. Together, this ensures that OPPO Air Glass 3 provides a wearable experience similar to that of conventional glasses, while providing the best-in-class full-color display. With access to the OPPO AndesGPT provided by the Air Glass APP on a smartphone, users only need to press lightly on the bracket of the OPPO Air Glass 3 to activate the AI voice assistant and begin tasks.
OPPO Air Glass 3 also supports touch interaction, which allows you to easily play music, make voice calls, display information, view color images, and more. The glasses feature reverse sound field technology, an open acoustic design with four microphones, and other innovations that improve noise isolation for superior sound quality and enhanced privacy protection.
Mastering AI with OPPO's new AI Hub
Artificial intelligence has long been a major focus of investment and development for OPPO, and the company is now taking a number of steps to elevate AI to the core of its long-term growth strategy. On February 20, OPPO launched the OPPO AI Center, which aims to focus the company's resources on AI research and development and stimulate cutting-edge, user-oriented research into technologies and applications that aim to bring the benefits of AI to everyone.

Building an artificial intelligence ecosystem through collaborative innovation
A mature AI ecosystem requires open collaboration across the industry. So, OPPO joins motion vision sensor startup AlpsenTek and Qualcomm Technologies to demonstrate a joint effort to use hybrid vision technology using the new AI Motion algorithm. Developed under the leadership of OPPO, AI Motion can produce image blur and high frame rate image interpolation for use in high-speed cameras based on a combination of traditional RBG image data and motion data obtained through EVS (Event Vision Sensing) technology. Using AI Motion, smartphones can solve the problem of blur in images and photos, allowing you to shoot slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second in 4K resolution. And using EVS data to precisely align moving objects between frames improves dynamic range and resolution.
OPPO's leading technologies and products are gaining industry recognition through AI capabilities
At OPPO ODC 2023, the company unveiled its first generative artificial intelligence model AndesGPT, capable of self-learning, with features to improve dialogue, personalization and collaboration with cloud devices. Building on the capabilities of AndesGPT, OPPO has introduced a new AI Eraser feature on the new OPPO Find X7 Series smartphones. Visitors to the Qualcomm Technologies booth at MWC this year were able to experience the impressive effects created by AI Eraser and the powerful performance of the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. At the MediaTek booth, OPPO demonstrated the use of the AI Eraser function on the OPPO Find X7 smartphone.

During the event, OPPO and Microsoft announced that they will closely collaborate and explore artificial intelligence technology to improve the user experience on various devices. Soon, thanks to Microsoft Link to Windows and a new plug-in, OPPO users will be able to use Copilot to create content, translate text messages and find addresses on their smartphones via a connected PC.
As the startup community also plays an important role in the development of artificial intelligence, OPPO took the opportunity at MWC 4YFN to introduce six startup teams in the OPPO Inspiration Zone. Among the technologies that will be demonstrated by the startups are non-contact health monitoring technology, an intelligent diagnostic system for listening to the heart and lungs, an AR game and other applications that demonstrate the huge potential of implementing artificial intelligence technologies.
