On March 15, 2024, the Huawei Ukraine company organized a forum dedicated to investments, technologies and legislation in the field of energy storage (ESE) called "Save and Accumulate". In this forum, leading Ukrainian and international experts of the energy market discussed trends and challenges in the UZE industry, as well as considered innovations, investment opportunities and legislative regulation of the sector. Special attention was paid to stimulating the energy industry of Ukraine.
Today, energy storage facilities are already helping to ensure the stability of Ukraine's energy industry. The global experience of implementing innovative energy storage systems in other countries confirms their necessity. For example, Huawei's battery energy storage facilities effectively solve the balancing problems of renewable energy sources, provide auxiliary services, balance consumption and provide backup power for consumers. On the way to the decarbonization of Ukraine's energy sector, USES play an important role in the integration of RES (renewable energy sources) into the energy mix and the creation of a smart energy system in Ukraine. In addition, UZE will contribute to the ecological transformation of businesses due to more effective decentralization and increased energy consumption from RES. Thus, UZEs provide backup power and optimization of own electricity consumption for organizations, and also help predict the generation of solar or wind plants. It is important that in the future UZE will allow the implementation of such technologies as Smart Grid, Microgrid, Demand Side, virtual power plants, as well as increase the level of management, demand management, work in local networks, etc.
