The ZV-1 II is a compact and portable vlogging camera featuring a wide-angle variable focal length lens for convenient framing, a 1.0-type sensor for high-quality imaging, and an intelligent microphone for clear audio.
Functionality for shooting high-quality vlogs
The ZV-1 II camera allows you to shoot a variety of content - from group selfies to panoramic views of the city. The 18mm wide-angle lens covers more than the human eye can perceive, allowing you to easily fit the entire subject in the frame. Indoors or outdoors, the wide-angle lens transforms ordinary scenes into dynamic shots.
Thanks to the variable focal length lens, the user can compose images with ease, using 18mm for selfies and 50mm for portraits and quick shots. The maximum aperture of F/1,8 with the wide-angle lens and F/4 with the telephoto lens creates a smooth background blur, adding the necessary atmosphere.
You don't need a lot of experience to create exciting vlogs. The My Image Style mode allows you to adjust the brightness and color without going to the menu. 10 Creative Look templates are available for creative shots.
Just tap the screen to turn ordinary moments into cinematic images without any additional processing. Regime Cinematic Vlog automatically adjusts the image to Cinemascope aspect ratio and 24 fps. If necessary, the user can select the image color from five values of the LOOK parameter and four values of the MOOD parameter for an instant professional level result.
In mode [Cars] (Auto) the new intelligent three-capsule microphone automatically switches from [All Directions] (All directions) on [Front] (Front) when the camera detects a person's face in the frame. It is also possible to manually switch between modes [Front] (Front) for selfies and [Rear] (Rear) for voice-over recording. To avoid wind noise and record clear sound outdoors, you can use the included windshield.
Compactness and ease of use
The ZV-1 II camera can be taken anywhere thanks to its light weight of 292 grams. It is ideal even for beginners, as it does not require learning complex settings. For easy control, there are touch icons on the screen for functions such as recording and self-timer. This allows you to conveniently take selfies and other shots when there is no access to the physical buttons on the camera.
Touch tracking automatically keeps the user in focus. It recognizes people's faces and eyes, providing reliable tracking of the main object. To activate this function, just touch the object on the screen. Eye AF works even with animal faces and eyes.
The ZV-1 II camera is designed to record footage even in motion and without a tripod to avoid shake and blur. Active mode reduces blur, providing a more stable image without additional processing.
The Sony ZV-1 II simplifies the content creation process. In mode Product showcase (Product Overview) the camera automatically focuses on the product the user is holding. There's also the option of softly blurring the background using the bokeh switch - select [Defocus] to highlight the subject or [Clear] to keep the entire image in focus.
Share and connect
Connecting the camera to a smartphone has become even easier thanks to the mobile application Creators' App. Data transfer is possible in the background, even if the smartphone screen is turned off or another application is running. You can also use your smartphone or computer as a remote control for the camera.
To use the ZV-1 II as a webcam, simply connect it to a compatible device via the USB port. A large 1.0-type matrix and Creative Look patterns ensure a bright image.
Improved features
With a large 1.0-type sensor, the ZV-1 II records professional-grade video in XAVC S format up to 30p and in 4K, as well as in Full HD format up to 120p for up to 5x slow-motion playback. It also supports simultaneous recording of proxies for efficient post-processing. With the ZV-1 II, it's easy to step up your video shooting skills as it supports S-Log3 and S-Gamut3.Cine image profiles for even more flexibility in processing.
The ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* lens with a variable focal length of 18-50 mm and an aperture of F/1,8-4 has a built-in neutral density filter for exposure control (3 steps), which gives the image more expressiveness in bright light. Sharpness is maintained throughout the focal length range, so your blogs will always be alive.
High-quality sound for your vlogs can be provided with the help of external microphones. For example, the ECM-G110 clearly records sound in front of the camera and connects without a cable. Or you can choose the right microphone from Sony's wide range, designed for different situations.
