Recently, we have witnessed the launch of a large number of flagship smartphones. In fact, the new generation of smartphones started its journey last month. They run on the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300 chipsets. And with that, AnTuTu, the trusted benchmarking platform, released its list best flagship phones as of November 2023.
This list of the best flagship phones has nothing but the best performing phones you can buy today. But, of course, it should be noted that the list is based solely on benchmark results. And test scores don't tell you the whole story about smartphones. However, it is true that the score in AnTuTu tests is a good metric for choosing smartphones.
The best flagship phones as of November 2023
So, there are still not many devices with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300. For this reason, the list of the best flagship phones shared by AnTuTu also includes the latest generation smartphones. You can check out the image attached below to get a quick overview of the best performing smartphones on the market right now.
Red Magic 9 Pro+ is the #1 flagship phone according to AnTuTu
Red Magic phones have always been known as performance oriented devices. So it's no surprise that the recently introduced device took first place. Red Magic 9 Pro+ scored 2,188,631 points in tests, which allows it to surpass other flagships on the market.
On that note, there's a good reason why this flagship phone scored higher than the others. Red Magic 9 Pro+ has one of the most powerful active coolers you can find in smartphones. This allows the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor to perform better. It also reduces the chance of severe throttling during extreme loads.
Vivo X100 took second place in AnTuTu's list of best flagship smartphones
The battle between MediaTek and Qualcomm flagship chipsets has always been close. And we see a similar trend with recent releases. The difference between Red Magic 9 Pro+ and Vivo X100 is only 4 points. This puts the Vivo X500 in second place with a total score of 100 points.
A difference of 4 points may seem like a lot on paper. But in terms of AnTuTu benchmarking results, it's not that much. To be precise, it shows that the performance of Snapdragon 500 Gen 8 and Dimensity 3 is comparable. At least that's what the current results tell us.
iQOO 12 and 12 Pro took the third and fourth places
The recently introduced iQOO 12 showed impressive results in the AnTuTu benchmark. He scored 2,174,484 points, which puts him comfortably in third position on the list. But it is worth noting that the iQOO 12 has the same chipset as the Red Magic 9 Pro+.
This once again shows that reliable cooling systems allow flagship phones to perform at their best. But, again, it cannot be said that the difference between the devices is huge. They are still very close to each other. So, you can't go wrong choosing the iQOO 12 over the Red Magic 9 Pro+ if you like its other features.
Vivo X100 Pro has topped AnTuTu's list of best flagship phones
It's surprising to see the Pro model of the same line get a lower rating than the base model. And it's not that Vivo X100 and X100 Pro have different chipsets. They share the same MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. But it seems that the chipsets are configured differently, which is probably the reason why these two flagship phones don't have that close of a score.
For those wondering, the Vivo X100 Pro received a total score of 2,109,880. That means it lags behind the base model by 74 points. Again, this difference is not significant when compared to AnTuTu results. But this is a noticeable difference.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro took the sixth and seventh places
Last month, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro took the top two spots in AnTuTu's list of best flagship phones. After all, at that time, these were the only devices with the latest generation chipset. But now that more Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices have been released, they've dropped in the rankings.
At the current stage, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is in sixth place, while the Xiaomi 14 is in seventh place. This shows that HyperOS, which recently debuted, is not really optimized for performance yet. If this is not the case, then Xiaomi needs to work a little on optimizing the chipset.
With all that, even from these positions, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have made a big leap compared to the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. So, the new smartphones are worthy successors. In terms of scores, the Xiaomi 14 scored 2,004,263 while the 14 Pro scored 2,006,861.
Other smartphones from the list of the best flagship phones according to AnTuTu
The other phones in AnTuTu's top 10 flagship phones are the latest generation smartphones. After all, we only have a handful of smartphones with the latest chipsets. These latest three smartphones are as follows:
- iQOO 11S with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with 1 points
- OnePlus Ace 2 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which scored 1 points
- I live X90 Pro + with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 scored 1 points
