The Vivo S18 series is about to begin with the launch of the Vivo S18 “next Monday”. Vivo confirmed today its upcoming premium mid-range smartphone, the Vivo S18 will debut on December 4. The confirmation came directly from the company's VP of Products. According to him, the new series of smartphones will debut with its own name Vivo BlueLM. “Blue” refers to the color of the logo, and LM most likely stands for the “language model” of the AI. The company wants to capitalize on the hype surrounding Natural Language AI with a series of smartphones aimed at young people. In addition to the launch date, the company also confirmed phone back design
Vivo S18 design confirmed – triple camera with OIS
The executive shared an image that shows the design of the back of the Vivo S18. The phone will be equipped with three cameras on the back panel with a square backlight. This is the most for Vivo S-series smartphones. The design doesn't reveal much about the smartphone, but the text has the word “OIS Portrait”. The same wording was found in the Vivo S17 and Vivo V29 line. This means that the phone will have optical image stabilization for the main camera, just like the recently launched Vivo V29 Pro.
Unfortunately, the specifications of the Vivo S18 series are not many at the moment. The phones are expected to maintain the company's strategy of sleek designs and powerful cameras. We may also see variants with fast charging and bright colors, at least one of which will feature Vivo's fluorite glass. The Vivo S18 is rumored to be powered by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. On the other hand, the Vivo S18 Pro is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC.
We expect further details about these phones to be revealed soon. There are only four three days until the release on December 4. Vivo can use these remaining days to continue sharing details about these phones. So stay tuned.
