Chinese manufacturing giant Xiaomi is preparing to unveil its new flagship smartphone. The company will announce this device this year. At least a regular model and a Pro model will be announced. A recent report from pigtou in collaboration with @xleaks7 shows off the look of the Xiaomi 13. The images and videos show an aluminum dummy of the Xiaomi 13 phone.
The images show a fairly flat Xiaomi smartphone with square edges. The Chinese manufacturing giant had to abandon the round edges of the usual Xiaomi flagship. However, the effects of the move to a square edge means that this device now looks "like an iPhone".
The Xiaomi 13 is very similar to the iPhone
The Xiaomi 13's square edges aren't the only feature that makes this phone look like an iPhone. The back of this device has a new design. The new rear camera design is very similar to the iPhone camera module. However, this protrusion takes up more space on the back than the iPhone. The Xiaomi 13 series will have a triple main camera.
Close observation of the back cover shows that the edges are rarely round with a very flat front. On the front, this Xiaomi flagship smartphone will have symmetrical bezels and a single front-facing camera. The camera will be located in the middle of the display.
Aside from the square edges, the right side of this device houses the power and volume buttons. There's also a USB Type-C port on the bottom, as well as the usual speaker grilles. This smartphone is quite compact in size. Its dimensions are 152,83 x 71,53 x 8,37 mm, which means that it is only slightly longer than the iPhone 14. According to previous speculations, it will be officially launched by the end of 2022. The company will also launch the Xiaomi 13 Pro at the same launch event.
