The collaboration between Sony and Honda on the production of electric cars has finally come to life. At least now we have an idea of the prototype, so we know what it looks like. The new collaboration between the two Japanese companies is called Sony Honda Mobility. Sony Honda Mobility announced its first electric vehicle (EV) at CES 2023 last week. This car has one feature that could be the main talking point of the car when it hits the market.
The car, named Afeela, is equipped with Sony's advanced technologies and Honda's many years of experience in the production of cars. The result of this collaboration is nothing less than a refined and technical electric car. Sony says Afeela will hit the markets in a few years. When it finally launches, this car will be able to play PS5 games.

To be clear, Sony will not install a PlayStation 5 console in the car. Afeela will use cloud gaming so that passengers on board can play pS4 and PS5 games. This will largely depend on the speed and stability of your internet connection. You can also watch your favorite movies and TV shows in the car thanks to the various in-car screens. 
There are many screens inside the Afeela, but the screen story doesn't end inside the car as it also has an external display. Sony calls it the car's "Media Bar" (you could also call it a car dynamic island). This external display allows the car owner to display a variety of data, including weather information and the car's battery level. The so-called multimedia panel can also display different colors and images. As an Afeela owner, you can also display your feelings to outsiders through an external display.
Sony also said it's talking to partners about how they can create fun and immersive interactions with a media bar more akin to what Apple is trying to do with Dynamic Island.

At the time of the announcement, Sony did not specify a specific launch date for Afeela. However, the maker of the PlayStation console has said that the car will not be released until 2026. So, this is just a concept car that gives us a hint of what to expect in the near future.
