The upcoming global variant of Xiaomi 12 has passed through benchmarking site Geekbench, revealing the phone's specifications. Last month, Xiaomi introduced the 12 series, which includes Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12x and Xiaomi 12 Pro in China. These are the first smartphones with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset under the hood. The Chinese tech giant has not released details about the series' global availability at launch.

However, new data hints at the imminent arrival of the global variant of the Xiaomi 12. Before going official, the global variant of the Xiaomi 12 appeared on Geekbench with the model number 2201123G. Rumor has it that the Xiaomi 12 series will hit the global market at the end of February. Also, the launch of the Xiaomi 12 series in India will reportedly take place either in late March or early April. Xiaomi 2201123G appears on the Geekbench listing with 8GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. In other words, this Xiaomi 2201123G will be similar to the Chinese models.
In addition, the device runs Android 12 with MIUI on top, just like the Chinese variants. In China, the Xiaomi 12 is available in a configuration with 12 GB of RAM. The basic Xiaomi 12 will be equipped with a 6,28-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. In terms of optics, the phone has three rear cameras, including a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro sensor.
