The update also offers an app privacy report, bug fixes for your iPhone, and new communication safety features designed for kids and parents who use iPhone.
First, we'll dive into the new features, namely the Apple Music Voice Plan, which is designed "exclusively for Siri." Those who subscribe to the service can access a whopping 90 million songs.
In addition, the service offers subscribers a wide selection of playlists, including a significant number of new playlists. You can subscribe to the Apple Music Voice Plan through Siri.
All you have to say is, "Hey Siri, start my Apple Music Voice trial." Alternatively, you can sign up through the Apple Music app. It is worth mentioning here that the trial version expires after seven days.
What else does the update bring?
Subscribers can tell Siri to play music on their iPhone or other Apple devices. Voice Plan works with Siri-enabled devices. These include the iPhone, AirPods, HomePod mini and others. It also works when using CarPlay.
Next comes a new app privacy report in your iPhone's settings that lets you see how regularly an app has accessed your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, and more over the past seven days.
iOS 15.2 also includes a Legacy Contact feature that takes care of your iCloud data in the event of your death, with a feature that allows you to designate people as contacts to access your iCloud data and personal information in the event of your death.
The iPhone 13 also gets macro photo control to switch to the ultra-wide lens to take macro photos on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, a feature limited to those two devices.
Communication Safety is the last big feature that can allow you to enable warnings for photos or other content for your child if you are a parent and want to protect your child from inappropriate content.
