AVerMedia Technologies, one of the leaders in the segment of video capture boards and equipment for streamers, announces the release of a unique dual camera DUALCAM – PW313D. The new model offers extreme shooting flexibility and high image quality for streamers, creators, teachers and anyone in general.
Two cameras, two points of view
The main difference between AVerMedia DUALCAM and most other web cameras is that two cameras are combined in one housing. One with a 2MP sensor, FullHD video resolution (16:9 aspect ratio) and a diagonal viewing angle of 71 degrees. And the second one with a 5 MP sensor, a video resolution of 2592×1944 pixels (aspect ratio 4:3) and a diagonal viewing angle of 76 degrees.
Both cameras are equipped with an autofocus system that ensures the sharpness of the subject even in low light. Also, the cameras have separate microphones with a noise suppression system and a range of reliable voice capture up to three meters.
Flexibility of use
AVerMedia DUALCAM uses a universal stand as a mount, which allows you to fix the camera on a monitor or simply put it on a table. There's also a metal tripod socket on the bottom of the stand, so if needed, the camera can be mounted on either the included tripod or any other tripod with a ¼-inch mount.
The camera module itself on the stand can only tilt, but not rotate left/right. However, this is partially compensated by the ability to rotate the cameras up/down around their axis. So the cameras can be placed so that they look at least in opposite directions. This allows you to simultaneously shoot yourself and some other object (a table with experiments, a board with examples, the interlocutor sitting across from you, the keyboard and mouse you are playing on, or anything you are trying to demonstrate).
With concern for privacy
At AVerMedia, we pay a lot of attention to the issue of privacy. Therefore, the PW313D integrates two shutters that allow you to close the camera lenses either separately or both together. So no one will be able to spy ahead of time what you are going to show.
More possibilities with CamEngine 4
Using AVerMedia DUALCAM becomes much more convenient when using the free proprietary CamEngine 4 utility. With it, you can not only correct colors, flip videos or switch autofocus modes. And you will get access to advanced options. For example, you can combine video from two cameras to get a "picture in a picture", or correct the distortion of the perspective, as if the shooting is not from the side, but directly above the object.
Also, with CamEngine 4, you can set "hot keys" for changing shooting modes, activating effects or switching between cameras.
Start of deliveries and price
The appearance of AVerMedia DUALCAM on the shelves is planned for the beginning of next year. The approximate price of a set with a camera, a USB-A - USB-C cable, and a mini-tripod will be around 6100 hryvnias.
