Rockstar has finally released remasters of the cult GTA games. Unfortunately, the company quickly withdrew Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Devinitive Edition for PC from sale.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition for PC is available exclusively as part of the Rockstar Games Launcher. But immediately after the premiere, unfortunately, the Rockstar Games Launcher was first disabled, but when it was turned on again, it was no longer possible to purchase a new version of GTA for personal computers.
Rockstar has already explained why such a decision was made during the recovery of its launcher. GTA Remasters for PC will not be available because the company has to "inadvertently" delete the files contained in this version. As a result, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is currently unavailable for purchase. The premiere itself turned out to be an event similar to Cyberpunk 2077 for many reasons.
As for the GTA Trilogy itself, Rockstar recently released an official graphical comparison with the originals. However, the premiere of this issue is not at all what the company would like. Also, we have some bad news for people waiting for the Steam Deck. The premiere of the Steam console will be delayed, and the reason, as always, is the lack of components.
Take-Two interested in mods for GTA IV - remaster in development?
The administration of the site LibertyCity, which hosts mods for Rockstar Games, reported that it had received another claim from Take-Two Interactive.
We will remind, in August Take-Two Interactive demanded from LibertyCity to remove a number of modifications of some parts of Grand Theft Auto including GTA III, San Andreas and GTA V.
This time, the publisher ordered LibertyCity to remove one GTA III mod (GTA Advance PC Port Beta 2) and two GTA IV mods (The Lost and Damned Unlocked and GTA IV EFLC The Lost And Damned save with 65% story completion) from the publication.
LibertyCity recalled that shortly after Take-Two Interactive demanded to remove mods for GTA III and San Andreas, the company announced a collection of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition, which includes reissues of these games.
A RalphsValve insider reported on the alleged preparations for a 2023 GTA IV remaster earlier this week. LibertyCity speculates that another letter from Take-Two Interactive may be related to this.
