A few weeks ago, Apple officially released the iPhone 13 series. Even before the official launch of the iPhone 13 series, there were reports of the iPhone 14 series. It is important to note that although the iPhone 13 series has several internal improvements, there are practically no changes in the external appearance.
This is how all iPhones look since iPhone X (2017). Recently, several renders of the iPhone 14 Pro series appeared online. The renders show a completely different appearance of the future iPhone.
Judging by the renders, the iPhone 14 Pro series will completely abandon the notch design. Finally, it will use the punch-hole display design that has been used in Android smartphones for years. However, if the rendering is correct, the iPhone 14 Pro series will use a unique camera design with a central pill-shaped hole.
This is not very common even among Android manufacturers. Most tablet-shaped holes from Android manufacturers are not located in the center of the screen. They are usually located on the left side of the display. However, the iPhone 14 Pro series will have a different look.
In addition, this new display design will further increase the screen-to-body ratio. However, it will still be lower than current Android smartphones. Apple's design also provides for the placement of Face ID components, which ensures the highest security of the identity recognition solution.
While this hole-in-the-hole camera doesn't offer full visual immersion, it's a huge step up from the notch design.
Apple iPhone 14 specifications
At the moment, there is not much information about the iPhone 14 series. However, there is a leak of the alleged specifications of the entire series. This is the first information about this series and we cannot yet confirm the authenticity of the report.
The report suggests that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will use a 6,06-inch screen. However, the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a larger display with a diagonal of 6,68 inches. In addition, the two base versions of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will use LTPS displays. However, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with LTPO screens. From this point of view, the iPhone 14 Max will be positioned lower than the iPhone 14 Pro.
As for the core configuration, the iPhone 14 series will be equipped with the new Bionic A16 processor. This chip is built on a 4-nm process. Except for the base version of the iPhone 14, which still uses a dual rear camera, the other three models come with a triple rear camera.
At the same time, the main camera of two older models will be modernized. We expect a 1/1,3-inch 48-megapixel sensor, and there are reports that the new 48-megapixel camera could be used for an ultra-wide-angle lens.
