OnePlus 10 Pro will get a 5x ZOOM Periscope lens

We've reached the last quarter of 2021 and we don't have any big OnePlus launches planned for these final months. The company will reportedly introduce a new T variant for the OnePlus 9R series, but the two main flagships will not get a special (T) variant this year. As a result, flagship fans should focus on the OnePlus 10 series next year. In fact, the first rumors about new smartphones are starting to appear. According to a new leak, OnePlus will bring periscopic zoom to the OnePlus 10 Pro.

We can expect the OnePlus 10 series to arrive early next year. A few months before the launch, a new report claims that the OnePlus 10 Pro will get a periscope camera. Source Mukul Sharma uploaded a leak shared with fellow tipster Panda, which claims that the OnePlus 10 Pro will come with a periscope lens. This sensor will support 5x optical zoom. Unfortunately, the analyst did not share details about the camera and its construction. But we believe that it is still too early to talk about the exact technical aspects.

OnePlus uses one of Oppo's technologies

The trend towards periscope cameras has taken the industry by storm in recent years. Next year, other companies will join the trend, including Samsung with its Galaxy S22 Ultra, and now OnePlus. Until now, OnePlus smartphones have been equipped with telephoto sensors that can only offer 3x zoom. This new sensor has two possibilities. First, OnePlus is developing this system with Hasselblad to maintain the partnership established with the OnePlus 9 series.

The second option is integration with Oppo. For those who don't know, OnePlus and Oppo are subsidiaries of the BBK Group. In addition, this year the companies merged, so it is not surprising that OnePlus uses some of Oppo's solutions.

Oppo has proven itself in the field of periscope camera sensors. The company introduced many of them in its Oppo Find X series. However, even the premium mid-range Reno series received smartphones with periscope lenses. Earlier this year, the company introduced a next-generation periscope camera with an adjustable focal length from 85 to 135 mm. No word yet on commercial availability. We can expect this technology to debut with the new Oppo Find X smartphone or even with the OnePlus 10 Pro.

The OnePlus 10 series is likely to repeat the strategy this year, launching three smartphones — the OnePlus 10, OnePlus 10 Pro, and OnePlus 10R — powered by the Snapdragon 888+ or 890.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
