At Microsoft's press conference on September 22, the company may launch the Microsoft Surface Go 3 as well as the Surface Pro 8. A few days ago, the Thai retailer published the full hardware specifications of the Microsoft Surface Go 3.
The exterior is largely the same as the current model. However, one worthy upgrade is an increase in battery life from 10 to 13 hours.
The leak also reveals that this new laptop will come with Windows 11 Home Edition (S Mode) pre-installed. It will also come with a free one-month experience of Microsoft outlook 365. As for the display, the Microsoft Surface Go 3 will come with a 10,5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1280. This display will support a touchscreen.
Under the hood, we will have an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y or Core i3-10100Y processor. This chip will be supported by 4GB or 8GB of RAM, as well as 64GB eMMC or 128GB SSD. In the camera department, there will be a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well as an 8-megapixel rear camera.
Other features or specifications of the Microsoft Surface Go 3 include a USB Type-C interface, a 3,5 mm headphone jack, and memory card support. The device measures 245 x 175 x 8,3mm and weighs 640g. According to a previous report by WinFuture, this third-generation convertible PC from Microsoft will reportedly share the same design as its predecessors. Its design uses a magnesium alloy and has a retractable stand. Judging by previous reports, the new Surface Go laptop will have a fanless design. In other words, the device will not have any moving parts inside. However, this can lead to problems related to overheating.
Microsoft Surface Go 3 model with SoC Intel Pentium Gold and Core i3-10100Y
As mentioned earlier, the Microsoft Surface Go 3 will be available in two models. One of these models will use the Pentium Gold 6500Y processor. Similarly, the other model will be equipped with an Intel Core i3-10100Y SoC. The Geekbench listing hinted at a massive 62 percent performance improvement over its predecessor. It is worth mentioning here that the Microsoft Surface 2 is equipped with a Pentium Gold 4425Y processor.
