It looks like Samsung is working on a new A-series phone. Earlier, a report claimed that the South Korean giant is going to bring OIS or Optical Image Stabilization support to its A-series phones in 2022.
Today, a new report from Elec claims that the Samsung Galaxy A73 could very well be the first A-series phone from the company to use a 108MP camera.
The report suggests that Samsung will launch the Samsung Galaxy A73 in the first half of 2022. The device, in addition to the main 108 MP module, will also have OIS support.
What do we know about the Samsung Galaxy A73?
For those who don't know, the Samsung Galaxy A73 will replace the Samsung Galaxy A72. The A72 uses a four-camera unit with OIS support. Optics include a 64MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 5MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a 32 MP front camera.
There are very few details about the device. It will most likely use a 700c series Snapdragon SoC, possibly 8GB of RAM and around 128GB of built-in storage. More information about the device is expected to emerge in the next few months leading up to 2022.
Like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy A73 can use an AMOLED display with higher-than-usual refresh rate support and a large battery. IP67 dust and water resistance can also be maintained. One UI 4.0 can be installed right out of the box.
What else is Samsung working on?
Recently, Samsung announced the beginning of beta testing of the proprietary One UI 4 shell. Users living in China, South Korea, India, the United States, England, Poland and Germany can join the test. Another prerequisite is that you need to register in the Samsung Members application.
Only owners of the company's current flagships: Galaxy S4, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra can be the first to try One UI 21. The new version of the firmware is interesting because it is based on Android 12, which has not yet debuted in its final build. The update weighs 2,4 GB and includes the September security update.
The first reviews suggest that with the appearance of One UI 4, users will have ample opportunities to customize the appearance of the system for themselves. They are waiting for redesigned widgets and "many theme options" that allow you to customize the appearance of your devices.
