In less than a week, Apple will present a new family of flagship smartphones. A survey conducted by Savings shows that only 10% of iPhone users plan to upgrade to a new model.
More than 1500 Apple smartphone users took part in the survey. Of those surveyed, only 10% said that they plan to buy an iPhone 13, while 64% of respondents said that they do not intend to upgrade their smartphone.
More than a quarter, 26% of respondents, found it difficult to answer. Of those planning to upgrade, 33% own an iPhone less than a year old. Respondents expect that new Apple smartphones will have an improved camera, a larger battery capacity and support for satellite communication. 8% of respondents are waiting for new case colors, and another 4% still hope that Apple will return the fingerprint scanner to new smartphones.
In July, a JPMorgan analyst said that the sales potential of the iPhone 13 could exceed investors' expectations. The bank expects Apple to sell 226 million new smartphones in the 2022 financial year. Other investors expect the sales volume to be 150–210 million units.
The iPhone 13 will have a smaller cutout for the camera on the front panel, screens with a high refresh rate in the Pro versions, improved cameras and satellite support for emergency calls. More detailed information about the capabilities of new Apple smartphones will become official on Tuesday, September 14.
iPhone 14 will get rid of the notch and protrusion of the rear camera
Apple will present the iPhone 13 series of smartphones next Tuesday, September 14. And there are rumors on the network about the company's smartphones, the release of which will take place in 2022. Authoritative leaker John Prosser claims that the iPhone 14 will boast a radically new design.
According to the source, the iPhone 14 will lose the notch at the top of the screen in favor of an inconspicuous circular cutout. This was previously reported by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. In addition, next year, Apple smartphones will have a rear panel without protrusions, because the camera will finally be flush with the body, for the first time since the first generation iPhone SE.
The iPhone 14, according to Prosser, will have a titanium body and round volume buttons, similar to those used in the iPhone SE. The speaker and microphone on the lower edge will be covered with grids, which will replace the current solution in the form of holes located in a row.
According to earlier rumors, the iPhone 14 series will include three smartphones. The company will not release a compact mini version of the device, as the demand for small smartphones did not meet Apple's expectations.
