The external screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 has a vulnerability

Recently, Samsung released the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G foldable smartphone. The shape of this device is basically the same as the previous generation.

A small external screen with a diagonal of 1,9 inches is installed on the back of this smartphone. This external screen can display the time, weather, music, messages, and can also be used to take pictures.

CarudiBu, a member of the XDA team, discovered a vulnerability in the Galaxy Z Flip3 5G. This bug essentially forces the external display to launch a GeckoView-based browser so that it can browse web pages and customize widgets. CarudiBu's message states that this vulnerability does not require ROOT, but Samsung Health must be uninstalled first.

It's also worth mentioning that while this vulnerability can be used to view web pages on an external screen using custom widgets, it cannot access the on-screen keyboard or save the current session. If Samsung doesn't disable this vulnerability in an update, it could unlock more ways to control it.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
