The Xiaomi POCO brand had a mixed profit last year. Instead of introducing many new products, the brand focused on rebranding existing Redmi smartphones.

The latter two devices were launched in India as POCO M2 Pro and POCO M2, and they were almost identical to their Redmi siblings. Today, Xiaomi is rolling out a new firmware update for POCO M2 users in India. The new update includes Android 11 as well as the latest MIUI 12.5 shell. In other words, the device gets two major updates in one install.

The new firmware update contains firmware version V12.5.1.0.RJRINXM. According to the changelog, the device gets 20x more rendering power. In addition, now the reaction to gestures will be instantaneous.
Xiaomi claims that MIUI 12.5 is lighter, faster and more durable than the previous version. In addition, Xiaomi has made several changes that should make the device faster. The Notes app also gets a number of new features, such as dynamic layouts, drawing tools, gesture shortcuts, and building smart maps with a complex structure.
