Redmi 10 Prime will receive MIUI 12.5 "out of the box"

Over the past few days, we've had several reports about the upcoming Redmi 10 Prime. The latest report about this smartphone is that it is now Bluetooth SIG certified.

This means that this smartphone will become official in the near future. The report indicates that the model number of the Redmi 10 is 21061119BI and it will be available in the Indian market. It is worth noting that several models appeared on the Bluetooth SIG website, including 21061119AG, 21061119AL and 21061119DG. This seems to mean that there will be multiple versions of the Redmi 10 in the series.

Unfortunately, there is no official information about the Redmi 10 Prime yet. The only official information about this device is that it will come with MIUI 12.5 out of the box.

Just this week, Redmi released the Redmi 10 in Malaysia. The 4GB + 64GB version is priced at MYR 649 (USD 153). Alternatively, the 6GB + 128GB version retails for MYR 749 (US$177). The Redmi 10 Prime looks similar to the Redmi 10 and the handset is also expected to be priced similarly.

The Redmi 10 Prime will be equipped with a 6,5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with an AdaptiveSync refresh rate of 90 Hz. This means that the display can dynamically switch between 45, 60 and 90 Hz refresh rates. It all depends on the content displayed on the screen. The display has a central hole that houses the selfie camera.

Under the hood of the smartphone is a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC paired with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of built-in memory. There are variants with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage. As of now, it is not clear whether Xiaomi is bringing all these variants to the Indian market.

In terms of optics, the device boasts a Quad-Camera setup. It packs a 50MP primary camera sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There are also two 2 MP modules for depth and macro photography. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with an 8 MP front camera. In addition to the hardware, users can expect the full range of MIUI camera features to come with this phone.

The Redmi 10 Prime is powered by a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. The device is equipped with a 3,5 mm headphone jack, a microSD memory card slot, an IR port, and a USB Type-C port.

It is a 4G VoLTE smartphone with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. In addition, it is equipped with a side fingerprint scanner and two stereo speakers. It weighs about 181 grams and has a thickness of 8,9 mm.
