The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 has appeared on Geekbench with some key details ahead of its official launch in China on August 10.
With the Mi Pad 5, Xiaomi will return to the tablet segment after three years. The tablet has become the subject of numerous speculations and information leaks.
In addition, the company recently unveiled the packaging, claiming that this time it had a "little surprise" for its huge consumer base.
Xiaomi will also unveil the long-awaited Mi Mix 4 smartphone and a host of other devices at the Mi Pad 5 launch event. The upcoming premium tablet will be unveiled at the company's so-called second mega event in 2021.
Back in March, Xiaomi held an event to present the Mi 11 Ultra. Xiaomi has already given us an idea of the tablet's design in official renders. Since the packaging box is extremely thin, IndiaToday believes that it cannot contain a charger.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 appears on Geekbench
The Mi Pad 5 line may include two or three tablets. One such variant with model number M2105K81AC was recently spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench. A Geekbench listing revealed the tablet's specifications ahead of its upcoming launch.
The Mi Pad 5 will come with an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset along with a competent Adreno 650 GPU.
In addition, the Mi Pad 5 will come with 6 GB of RAM and run Android 11. The tablet scored 997 in the single-core and 3181 points in the multi-core test. Previous leaks suggest that the Mi Pad 5 will sport a 10,95-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
In addition, the tablet comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. On the photography front, the tablet will reportedly feature a dual camera setup.

The rear-mounted camera module can accommodate a 20MP primary camera and a 13MP secondary camera. A reliable battery with a capacity of 8720 mAh with support for fast charging of 65 W will provide power to the entire device.
Last month, a Mi Pad 3 variant with model number M5K2105AC passed through the 81C certification website. The 3C certification hinted at support for 65W fast charging for the upcoming tablet. The smart pen that comes with the tablet is also FCC certified.

Also, source Mukul Sharma tweeted an image of the alleged Mi Pad 5 keyboard. The image was originally posted on Weibo. In addition, renders and the keyboard body of the tablet have made their way to Weibo.
The leaked renders match up with previous reports that suggested the Mi Pad 5 will feature dual cameras on the back. Other earlier reports suggested that the tablet will be available in green, white and blue colors.
