A few days ago, Huawei ended the month with the release of the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro smartphones. The devices are equipped with the latest Leica cameras, produced in collaboration with Huawei, and the highest specifications.
While there are variants with Qualcomm Snapdragon and HiSillicon Kirin 9000 SoCs — these are limited to 5G connectivity. This is due to the many rounds of sanctions that the US government has applied to Huawei. However, the report suggests that 5G will be coming soon, at least for the Kirin 9000 variants, and only China will likely benefit from it.
The company will also unveil the Huawei P50 Pro+ later this year, and obviously, today we we see the charger that will come with this phone. Or maybe with the Mate 50 Pro.
Honor recently introduced the Honor 50 Pro smartphone, which features 100W fast charging technology. Now, it looks like the former owner of the brand, Huawei, will also introduce its own 100W charger to the world.
China's 3C certification today revealed a 100W Huawei charger with 20V @ 5A. The mentioned charger has a model number of HW-200500C00 and may fit the upcoming smartphone.
Given the current situation, we don't expect a Huawei Mate 50 series, at least not this year. So, we guess this could be the case with the sensitive Pro+ variant of the Huawei P50 series.
Huawei P50 Pro+ or Huawei Mate 50 Pro? Which of you will debut this technology?
To put things into perspective, the recently announced Huawei P50 and P50 Pro models can charge up to 66W with fast charging, just like the Mate 40 models. The Pro variant is the only one that supports 50W wireless charging.
The trendy Pro Plus options usually feature the most advanced technology the company has to offer. According to information on the digital chat station, a Pro Plus version may arrive later this year.
We're guessing it will come with 5G connectivity, more advanced cameras, and possibly that 100W charger.
If this is not the case, then the probability of this charging debut should be transferred directly to the Mate 50 Pro. We don't know exactly when this phone will become official.
For example, the Huawei P50 series has had many delays and arrives months after its "normal" window. Rumors so far suggest that the Mate 50 Pro will feature the upcoming Kirin 9020 SoC, which could be the world's first SoC based on 3nm technology.
