The division of Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) in Ukraine presented the new open-type wireless headphones Huawei FreeBuds 4 — the latest addition to the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Bluetooth line. Thanks to high-resolution sound, updated active noise cancellation technology, lightness and comfort, as well as intelligent connectivity options, Huawei FreeBuds 4 not only provide high-quality sound, but also raise the experience of using headphones to a completely new level.
High resolution sound
FreeBuds 4 uses a composite diaphragm made of liquid crystal polymer, which supports a frequency range of up to 40 kHz, so high frequencies sound richer and more voluminous.
As for powerful bass, Huawei FreeBuds 4 is equipped with a 14,3 mm dynamic driver. To reproduce rich low frequencies, Huawei FreeBuds 4 have an updated bass enhancement mechanism (provides 150% more bass), a low-frequency tube and a motherboard that create a sealed sound cavity. Compared to FreeBuds 3, Huawei FreeBuds 4 have increased air tightness, acoustic pressure and a 15% increased volume of the low-frequency tube, which provides an enhanced resonance effect from air and diaphragm.
With active noise canceling turned off, the Huawei FreeBuds 4 headphones can play audio continuously for 4 hours. And with a charging case, they can work up to 22 hours. With the ANC function on, the new Huawei headphones play music for 2,5 hours. In addition, thanks to the industry-leading fast charging technology, Huawei FreeBuds 4 can be charged in just 15 minutes and then enjoy music for 2,5 hours.
Smart noise reduction
The new headphones are equipped with advanced ANC 2.0 intelligent technology, which has improved the process of noise reduction both at the hardware and software levels. ANC technology is implemented on two microphones, which provides improved performance of the process. The microphones pick up ambient noise with far greater accuracy than competitors on the market, achieving industry-leading results.
In order to increase the effectiveness of noise reduction in various usage scenarios, Huawei FreeBuds 4, for the first time among open-type headphones on the market, uses smart noise reduction technology (Adaptive Ear Matching). When the noise canceling function is turned on, the headphones automatically determine the shape of the user's ear and the optimal noise canceling setting for each individual. So they optimize the process of listening to audio and guarantee uninterrupted sound regardless of where the user is.
Natural wearing comfort and stylish design
Wearing comfort is a key aspect for improving the user experience. The new Huawei FreeBuds 4 headphones have an optimized design and are distinguished by a better fit in the ears. They are more compact and lighter than the previous model Huawei FreeBuds 3: the weight of each earbud is 4,1 g. All these improvements not only ensure comfortable wearing, but also allow to increase the performance of the active noise cancellation function in Huawei FreeBuds 4.
The size of the Huawei FreeBuds 4 charging case is only 58,0mm x 21,2mm and the weight is only 38g. The new earphones are 6,3% smaller and 20,8% lighter compared to the previous model. The case has a symmetrical rounded design and a minimalist design.
Intelligent connection
Huawei has extensive experience in wireless connectivity and device ecosystem development for all usage scenarios. Thanks to this, Huawei FreeBuds 4 headphones support various connection options. These include connecting to nearby devices, connecting through cloud data sharing, dual device connectivity, and the Audio Connectivity Centre. The new Huawei headphones can be connected to any device based on EMUI — from smartphones to tablets and laptops. They will provide uninterrupted sound reproduction and intelligent connection.
Huawei FreeBuds 4 support dual connection. You can easily connect any two devices to them at the same time - a smartphone, tablet, laptop, smart watch or Huawei smart screen or any other gadget on Android, iOS or Windows operating systems. This feature ensures that users do not miss any important call while listening to their favorite tracks or enjoying watching videos. You can pause the music or movie during an incoming call.
The Audio Connectivity Center in the Huawei AI Life app includes a list of ten recently connected devices. Thus, users can quickly switch between gadgets with a simple touch.
Huawei FreeBuds 4 is one of the smart devices designed to implement Huawei's Seamless AI Life strategy. The headphones are significantly improved compared to the previous model in such aspects as sound quality, noise reduction level, wearing comfort and connectivity options. In Ukraine, Huawei FreeBuds 4 are available for sale from July 15. The model is presented in two colors: "White" (Ceramic White) and "Silver Frost". The recommended price of the novelty is UAH 4. And in the period from July 499 to August 16, 1 inclusive, Huawei FreeBuds 2021 can be purchased at a special price of UAH 4.
