Nokia will release push-button smartphones on Android 11

If it is difficult to call HMD Global a strong player in the smartphone market, then as for the niche of smartphones with buttons, the company is among the leaders here. In the first quarter of this year alone, 11 million units were shipped.

In order not to lose its position in this segment, the company released two new products — Nokia 110 4G and Nokia 105 4G.

These are the successors of Nokia 110 and 105, which appeared in 2019. Among the main innovations are 4G LTE support and a new design.

Both phones got a 1,8-inch display with a resolution of 160 × 120 pixels, a 3,5 mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot up to 32 GB, a SIM card tray, an FM receiver and a flashlight on the top edge .

The battery capacity is 1020 mAh, and the phones will provide up to 5 hours of continuous calls on a single charge. Nokia 110 4G and 105 4G are equipped with a UNISOC T107 chip and 128 MB of RAM. The only difference between the two phones is the presence of a rear camera on the Nokia 110 4G, while the Nokia 105 4G does not.

And for some reason it was decided not to voice the camera's characteristics.

The Nokia 105 4G is available in Black, Red and Blue, while the Nokia 110 4G is available in Black, Blue and Yellow. We do not yet know the price of the new devices.

An affordable 5G smartphone Nokia XR20 with a Snapdragon 480 processor will be released in the near future

In April, HMD Global announced the Nokia X10 and Nokia X20 smartphones, which support fifth-generation (5G) mobile networks. According to network sources, these devices may soon have a sibling called the Nokia XR20.

Information about the new product was available in the popular Geekbench test. The test uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor, which contains eight cores with a clock frequency of up to 2,0 GHz, an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X51 5G cellular modem.

The amount of RAM is 4 GB, but it is assumed that versions with different sizes of RAM will also go on sale, for example, a version with 6 GB.

Currently, there is no information about the characteristics of the display and cameras. The Nokia X20 is equipped with a 6,67-inch FHD+ screen, a 32-megapixel front-facing camera and a rear quad-camera setup of 64 + 5 + 2 + 2 megapixels.

The Nokia XR20 scored 509 points in the single-core test, and 1455 points in the multi-core test. The Android 11 operating system is used as a software platform.

Obviously, the official presentation of the smartphone will take place in the near future.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
