The Huawei Consumer BG division presents the updated Huawei MatePad tablet. The 10,4-inch device is equipped with the Kirin 820 chipset, which provides increased performance and supports many multimedia functions, and Wi-Fi 6, which guarantees a fast connection. The EMUI 10.1 operating system has universal built-in features such as MeeTime and Cross Device Photo Gallery to offer modern users more convenient connectivity options.
New bright display
Thanks to the FullView design, which is the hallmark of the entire Huawei MatePad product line, the new 10,4-inch tablet provides exciting visual effects. The screen with an aspect ratio of 16:9,6 and thin frames covers 84% of the front surface. It accurately reproduces 100% of the sRGB color gamut and boasts excellent detail thanks to a resolution of 2000 x 1200 and a density of 225 pixels per inch. Huawei's Huawei ClariVu image enhancement technology uses an algorithmic approach to image quality optimization, dynamically adapting color saturation and sharpness to the type of content being viewed. In addition, the tablet received the Low Blue Light certificate from the TÜV Rheinland company, which confirms the low level of the blue component of the screen illumination.
Fast and productive
The Kirin 820 chipset, created according to the 7-nm process, ensures high speed of operation. The 8-core processor with a clock frequency of up to 2,36 GHz supports some of the most demanding applications and multitasking without problems. Built-in Mali-G57 graphics processor ensures smooth operation during gameplay, video playback, etc. The Neuromorphic Processor (NPU) based on the Da Vinci architecture provides 73% higher AI computing performance than the previous generation. Therefore, the new tablet better recognizes the conditions of photography, creates collages, calculates the calorie content of dishes and much more. Huawei MatePad also supports Wi-Fi 6 to provide a maximum download speed of 2 Mbps for bufferless video streaming and fast file transfers.
Multimedia capabilities
Reproduction of high-quality sound is achieved thanks to the audio system from Harman Kardon with four speakers. It is optimized at the chip level and supports multi-channel sound output. The new Huawei Histen 6.1 technology provides spatial 3D audio reproduction, and the built-in equalizer allows users to gain full control over listening to music. The Bass Booster mode intelligently analyzes the sound source and optimizes the volume and other parameters. Natural mode provides reproduction of the original sound without distortion.
Synergy with Huawei's universal ecosystem
There are two new features available in App Multiplier. You can resize the application window by dragging the marker line to the middle of the screen. Additionally, users can set a default screen mode for each App Multiplier-compatible app. For example, e-book readers can now be set to play full-scale by default, while word processors can be viewed in split-screen.
The MeeTime application supports video calls in HD format and image optimization technology, which improves brightness in low-light conditions. Super Resolution Technology improves video quality, compensating for loss of image quality in case of unstable connection.
The Cross Device Photo Gallery based on Huawei's distributed technology allows you to conveniently manage the gallery on different Huawei devices. This function combines all the galleries registered in Huawei ID and allows you to access all media content from a single gadget. Users can easily view and download all files from a single device, and use the Search function to quickly find the photos and videos they need, wherever they are stored.
Price and availability
Huawei MatePad in "Grey" color (Midnight Gray) will appear in Ukraine from June 15. The recommended price of the tablet is UAH 8.
