The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (Fan Edition) mobile phone will be released this year. This product comes with the same processor as the Galaxy S21 series. This means that it will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. However, the smartphone will differ in appearance. Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE appeared in the GeekBench database. As you can see from the screenshots, this phone is codenamed SM-G990B and is equipped with 8 GB of RAM, system Android 11 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. This SoC uses core 1 + 3 + 4 and the maximum core frequency can reach 2,84 GHz.
In addition to the 8GB RAM version, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will also have a 6GB version. As for the built-in memory, it will have options from 128 GB to 256 GB. According to previous reports, this device will use 6,41-inch Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a battery of 4500 mAh. This device will reportedly support 25W fast charging. The back of the phone is similar to the S21 series and has three cameras.
Speculation on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE
For the past few weeks, there have been rumors and speculations about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (fan version). This fan edition will be the flagship device. Also, it looks like the Note series from the front, but the camera module is similar to the S21 series. According to Korean Herald, the device will be priced between 700 won (US$000) and 629 won (US$800) before tax. If this is true, the Galaxy S000 FE is much cheaper than the Galaxy S719 at 21 won ($20).
As we all know, Samsung's “Fan Edition” positioning is similar to “semi-flagship”. It has the functional design of a flagship phone while keeping the price down significantly. Last year, Samsung first released a version of the Galaxy S20 FE series. The Galaxy S20 FE is quite popular in North America and Southeast Asia. Global sales reached 2 million units within one month of listing, a huge surprise even for Samsung.
Looking at the previous renders of this device, we can see that it has a similar design to the Galaxy S21. The frame of the smartphone protrudes slightly, and there is a sharp edge between the side frame. In addition, the Galaxy S21 uses a “Contour Cut” design so that there is a perfect connection between the side frame and the lens.
