Meizu Watch is preparing a revolution

As planned, Meizu held a product launch conference today and unveiled its first smartwatch. Meizu Watch will be a new generation of flagship smart watches with a small screen.

Meizu wants to change the status quo of smartphone dominance in our lives. She hopes that the Meizu watch will become a revolutionary product.

Appearance of the Meizu watch

The Meizu Watch is equipped with an AMOLED display. It has a custom Corning Gorilla Glass coating as well as a pixel density of 326PPI. The reflection effect is extremely high-quality. Thanks to the fourth generation full screen display, it can give the best visual effects. Its dial measures 46 mm.

The watch supports global gestures. Thus, it does not require physical button operations. Also, you can unlock it by swiping.

There are a variety of custom dials, including Surreal Series, New Age Series, Travel Twilight Series, and other artistic dials.

Our protagonist is available in two colors, rock black and blue, with a fluoro rubber strap.

The power of Meizu Watch

The watch can be charged using a common charging cable. In addition, the MEIZU watch comes with an mEngine that supports mCharge. It will be fully charged in 45 minutes.

In terms of hardware, the Meizu Watch comes with the strongest chip of the new generation from Qualcomm Wear 4100. It uses 12nm process technology, which provides the user with a longer battery life and less heat generation.

Flyme for watch

Another interesting feature of this watch is the new Flyme For Watch system. This system fully inherits the basic capabilities of the regular Flyme OS.

In order to get a watch that looks like a smartphone, Meizu developed this system based on the Android code. She made 300 optimizations, thanks to which the smartwatch can work stably at a speed of 60 frames per second. After optimizing the system, the performance can be improved by 70%, and the full energy use time has reached 36 hours.

Compared to other third-party systems, using this system can improve app interoperability and help quickly build an app ecosystem on the watch. Flyme for Watch was first announced on March 2 this year at the Meizu Flyme 9 conference. The system uses a new design style to facilitate the implementation of rich functions on the watch.

Functions

Meizu Watch can fully interact with smartphones, realize message reminders, schedule reminders, transfer big data, support remote camera photography, and find phones.

This is not just a watch, but also a car key. This watch uses a special built-in app to perform some smart car operations.

Connection

Independent eSIM call has become the standard configuration of flagship smart watches. Meizu Watch supports independent calls, messages and independent Internet access. It uses a metal frame with no breakpoints, and there is no antenna band barrier.

Meizu smart watches support health monitoring functions including: blood oxygen content, heart rate, stress and sleep monitoring.

Meizu has teamed up with Meixin to create a professional health test. The device uses high-grade ceramic materials, non-allergic ones, professional Fresnel lens sensor and curved micro-arc design, which is more suitable for long-term wear. Relying on the built-in blood oxygen sensor, the Meizu watch fully supports blood oxygen detection.

The “SOS emergency call” on Meizu phones has also come to the Meizu Watch. Press the side button 5 times continuously and the watch automatically calls the emergency contact. And when the pulse is abnormal, it also keeps the abnormal distress function active.

As for sports, the Meizu smart watch supports the recognition of more than 10 active sports without manually adjusting the mode. At the same time, it prepares a variety of detailed sports-specific data for users to view the real-time training status at any time.

The Meizu Watch costs 1499 yuan ($235) and will officially go on sale on June 1.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
