Meet Redmi Note 8 2021

Xiaomi is all set to update one of its popular budget smartphones called the Redmi Note 8. The company is simply calling it the Redmi Note 8 2021. With the update, the Chinese smartphone maker is celebrating the sale of 25 million units of the original device. Xiaomi has been promoting the device for the past few days, revealing more and more information. We now have details on the chipset, camera and display.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021 will receive Helio G85 chipset!

Like the original device, the Redmi Note 8 2021 will have a waterdrop display. The display size is 6,3 inches diagonally. Under the hood is now a set of Helio G85 chips paired with 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of built-in storage. We will remind that the original offer featured the Snapdragon 665 SoC. On the back, we see a module with four cameras, one of which is a 48-megapixel main sensor.

No information is available on the remaining three camera sensors. The original device is equipped with 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensors We also see a fingerprint sensor located on the back. In terms of design, the 2021 edition of the smartphone looks exactly the same as the original offering. The key difference, according to current information, points to the addition of a new chipset and fast 22,5W fast charging. This is a small step compared to the original device.

Looks like not much has changed!

Despite the lack of clear information regarding the resolution and the rest of the camera's sensors, it seems that not much will change. The 6,3-inch waterdrop display should have a 1080p resolution. On the front panel there is a 13-megapixel selfie module placed inside the cutout. It looks like the device will arrive in two color variants as shown in the image above. We may see more color options added to the registry later.

If you look closely at the teaser, you'll find the SIM tray on the left. The power button and volume controls, on the contrary, are located on the opposite side. Like the original device, the chin also features the “Redmi” branding. In terms of design, the device seems to follow the same ideology as the original offering.

With that in mind, we should expect to hear more information from the company in the coming days.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
