Realme sells more than 1 million smartphones per month

According to Xu Qi, vice president of Realme, the monthly sales of Realme smartphones in the Chinese market have exceeded 1 million units in just one month. According to Xu Qi, the Chinese market is not an easy place to compete. He also said that there have been many scary moments in the past two years since Realme entered the Chinese smartphone market.

Xu Qi said: “Two years ago, the question we faced was: Is there a chance for a new player? Can Realme have a place in this fiercely competitive market?”

At the beginning of 2020, the Chinese manufacturer adjusted its product strategy and offered "Comprehensive 5G". Since then, all Realme China products are 5G products. Xu Qi said: “For Realme at that time, it meant giving up part of the market and opening up new opportunities. It was a heart decision."

In February this year, the company also announced a 2021 strategy of "dual platform + dual flagship". For mid-range and high-end products, it will use both Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series and MediaTek Dimensity dual flagship 5G platforms to create two flagship series. These flagships will focus on performance and images respectively.

Realme will hold an event on May 24

Realme has several smartphones like Realme GT and GT Neo that are doing well right now. However, there are reports that the company will still introduce another GT smartphone. A few days ago, an official teaser from Realme revealed that it will be announcing a new GT smartphone next week. Still, many speculate that this smartphone could be the Realme GT Neo Flash Edition. In particular, the official poster shows that Realme Launching will take place on May 24 at 19:00 local time

Realme GT Neo uses a 6,43-inch display with Full HD+ (2400 × 1080 pixels) resolution. This display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which is the industry standard for flagships. Under the hood, this device comes with MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and up to 12GB of RAM. In the camera department, the device uses a 64-megapixel primary camera, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. A 16-megapixel camera is installed on the front panel. Also, this smartphone uses Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11 OS.
