As recently as last week, ASUS introduced its long-awaited series of smartphones and surprised us by defying certain rumors. The company has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed the ZenFone 8, which features a small form factor, a quad-camera setup, and a punch-hole display. For those who can't say goodbye to the company's very signature flip camera mechanism, the company has introduced the ZenFone 8 Flip, which offers a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, and besides, it's not that big of an upgrade. Today, both the ZenFone 8 and the ZenFone 8 Flip receive your first software update after launch. Apparently it was coming out with last minute fixes that weren't ready for release.
Prior to the phone's launch, reviewers received an additional update with versions WW 30.10.46.64 for the ZenFone 8 and WW 30.10.39.62 for the ZenFone 8 Flip. These are the first updates for the flagship duo. Now the company is preparing new assemblies for these smartphones. The ZenFone 8 is getting WW 30.11.51.41, while the 8 Flip is slated to ship with WW 30.11.55.37.

The new changelog for ZenFone 8 and 8 Flip includes the following changes:
- Improving system stability
- Improving system performance
- Improved camera quality
- Enables new priority mode in ASUS settings
- The search function now shows a forced dark mode
- VoLTE enabled on Telia (Lithuania)
- Added VoLTE and VoWifi on ICE (Norway)
- Android Security Update (April 2021)
Both flagships come with Android 11 out of the box, which is hardly a surprise at this point. Instead of the highly customized software of the days of the ZenFone 5 series, the company is now opting for a close-to-basic version of Android. As mentioned, the simple ZF8 gets all the highlights as one of the best mini flagships in the industry. ZenFone 8 Flip, on the other hand, is not too impressive due to numerous similarities with last year's flagships.
