New features of Facebook Messenger
Chat archive
Sometimes we delete our chat and later we want to read it but unfortunately it is no longer available. However, Facebook solved this problem with chat archives. Now, instead of permanently deleting a chat, you can swipe left to archive the chat and restore it whenever you want.
"Tap to record"
How many times have you been recording a voice message and accidentally couldn't hold it long enough, so it gets sent? Facebook solved it, now you don't have to hold to record your voice. Tap to record a voice memo and tap again to stop recording. This will make recording a message much easier.

We are bored of seeing the same old Facebook messenger theme, so to liven up the app Facebook has introduced new themes. You can now choose a Star Wars theme or a theme based on Netflix's Selena series. It provides a new experience for users. This feature is also available for Instagram DMs.
New camera stickers
Facebook Messenger has received new camera stickers specifically for Asian and Pacific Islanders (API). There are a total of four camera stickers that users can use to show their support for the API community.

Visual answers
Visual replies actually resemble Snapchat's reply feature. If someone sends you an Instagram DM image or video, you can instantly reply to them with an image/video. It just makes it easier to answer. Looks like Instagram is trying hard to take Snapchat's place.
Incoming seen
