Authoritative insider John Prosser, whose information has been repeatedly confirmed, announced that the new Apple MacBook laptops will be offered in different color options.
Apple's new MacBooks will get new colors, just like the iMac
Earlier, Prosser shared information that the next-generation iMac desktop computers will be available in different colors. This figure was confirmed last month, when Apple announced a completely redesigned iMac based on the M1 with a 24-inch 4,5K screen. Recall that this new iMac is offered in seven colors at once - green, yellow, orange, red, blue, soft - blue and silver.
John Prosser now claims that similar cosmetic changes could affect the MacBook family as well. In particular, Apple is allegedly testing a MacBook Air laptop in blue. Presumably, other iMac-style versions will be available.
In addition, observers believe that Apple will completely redesign the future MacBook Air model, adapting it to a proprietary processor with ARM architecture.
Renderings have already appeared online (see image above) to give an idea of what the MacBook laptops might look like in the new colors.
New pros of MacBook with Mini-LED displays, which should be released by the end of the year
One of Apple's key suppliers, which is involved in the production of Mini-LED matrices for the recently announced iPad Pro, was able to solve problems with the production of 14- and 16-inch panels for the upcoming MacBook Pro. Accordingly, the new MacBook should be released on schedule.
TSMT is a company that produces backlights for Mini-LED matrices. It was reported that they faced limitations related to PCBs and adhesives on the Mini-LED panels. Sources say that after changing the supplier of these components, the company was able to solve the existing problems and adjust the production of panels that meet Apple's quality requirements. Thus, Apple will have time to launch new mobile computers before the previously planned time.
14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros will go on sale this year. The devices come with a magnetic MagSafe charging connector, an expanded array of physical ports, including HDMI video output and an SD card slot, as well as an all-new ARM-branded M1X or M2 chip. The new chipset boasts better performance and even better power efficiency than the current M1.
