Samsung seems to have a lot of Galaxy products up its sleeves. The chaebol is set to unveil three new laptops at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The brand is also expected to launch the Galaxy M42 mid-range smartphone. Aside from the new Galaxy Book laptops, the next big thing should be the next iteration of sophisticated devices. We are talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The third iteration of the original Galaxy Fold will arrive in the second half of the year, possibly in August. We have been hearing about the complex device for a long time. According to the new development, we now have important information around the smartphone.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 may not come with an Exynos chipset!
As my friend said, Galaxy Z Fold3 uses Snapdragon 888 processor.
It is about 13g lighter than Z Fold2.— ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) April 20, 2021
This leak comes from the famous Ice Universe (@UniverseIce). According to him, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset. The new solution would be welcome as the chipset is still ahead of the company's internal offerings.
Looking at this new development, it looks like we might not see an Exynos chipset with AMD Mobile Radeon graphics. Apart from that, we also expect a thinner and lighter profile. To put it into perspective, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is said to be 13 grams lighter than its predecessor. The weight is also reduced to 269 grams from 282 grams of the predecessor.
A smaller battery is possible!
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 has also made its way to 3C for certification. The new list confirms very important information regarding the battery. It looks like the new foldable device will indeed have a dual battery. One of these batteries will have the model number EB-BF926ABY with a nominal capacity of 2060 mAh. Instead, the second battery will have a nominal capacity of 2215 mAh with the model number EB-BF927ABY.
Both of these two batteries will provide a total capacity of 4275 mAh, which means that the company can market it as 4400 mAh. If that's the case, then we're looking at a smaller battery capacity compared to its predecessor.
