Previously, Apple's silicone protective case for the iPhone 12 was exhibited in new colors. At that time, the exposition shows four new colors. However, the latest report now reveals that this silicone case has three more new colors. All these colors are not from the same source. After the initial report showing four colors, the latest follow-up report from another source shows three more colors. This will give iPhone 12 users plenty of options when it comes to the color of the protective case.
New colors are red (probably RED), cyan or light blue, and warm yellow. Unlike previous leaks, this “MajinBu” leak does not include Apple names for the various colors. However, these are not official teasers from Apple.
As of today, there are no official announcements regarding iPhone case colors for the spring series. We expect the company to publish this information at an upcoming event on April 21. Last year, Apple released a similarly revised series of iPhone 11 mobile phone cases in March.
Apple serial numbers for new products will no longer be common
According to a recent report, Apple will use new digital serial numbers (between 10 and 12 digits) for its new devices. This serial number will be random and will no longer contain important information about the product.
The company has already issued a reminder to its dealers and distributors to ensure their "systems, warehouses and processes can accept and send the two serial number formats."
The old Apple serial number contains information about the date and time the device was launched. However, the new random serial number format will be more difficult to understand. The latest report states in part:
“Apple's current serial number format has long allowed both consumers and service providers to identify the date and place a product was manufactured, with the first three characters representing the place of manufacture and the next two indicating the year and week of manufacture. The last four characters currently serve as a “configuration code” that shows the device model, color and memory capacity.
Back in March, there was a report that Apple would change its serial number. As of today, it looks like the new serial number format will take effect from the beginning of this year. We are still in the first half of the year, so we can consider it "early 2021"
