Fresh details of Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 appear online

Since Xiaomi released the Mi Pad 4 in 2018, the series has not been updated for a long time. Due to the huge demand for large display devices as a result of the lockdown, Xiaomi is losing a lot due to this. According to multiple sources, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is on the way. This device has a couple of certifications and its official launch is just around the corner.

As the release date of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 approaches, we are getting more and more information about the device. According to recent reports, there is also a sm8150ac version of the Mi Pad 5. The report also claims that this chip is a higher version of the new Snapdragon 860 SoC. The Snapdragon 860 itself is an improvement over the Snapdragon 855+. Snapdragon 860 and Snapdragon 855+ are exactly the same in terms of CPU, GPU, DSP and other architectures. Both use a Kryo 485 core with a top frequency of 2,96 GHz, an Adreno 640 GPU and a Hexagon 690 DSP.

However, the Snapdragon 860 does not support 5G networks. However, it's an improvement over the SD855+ as it supports up to 16GB of RAM, dual 1080P 90Hz screens and adds support for a high refresh rate of 90Hz.

In addition, the leak also reveals some information about the display of this upcoming tablet. According to the report, the engineering model uses an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. This screen supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and a sample rate of 240Hz. The screen driver is a Novatek TDDI panel. It also has a pressure sensitivity level of 4096.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 preliminary assumptions

From today's speculations, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will have about three different models. These models will use different chipsets including Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 860 and Snapdragon 888 SoCs. While some will support 5G, others will support 4G network. However, not all models will launch at the same time. Some of these tablets will hit the market later this year.

In addition to the basic specifications, the Mi Pad 5 will also be equipped with a tablet system similar to the folding screen of the Mi MIX FOLD. This means that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will have features such as portable PC mode, dual screen drag, parallel windows and conference recorder.

It's been years since Xiaomi last released a tablet. The company will have to be at the top of its game if it hopes to make any impact.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
