Apple has just announced its annual WWDC conference for 2021. For those who don't know, WWDC stands for Worldwide Developers Conference, where the company reveals all its software. The event is primarily aimed at developers, allowing them to meet with Apple engineers. Like last year, Apple WWDC 2021 is completely offline due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Виробник iPhone у Купертіно опублікував офіційну вебсторінку події. WWDC 2021 розпочнеться з 7 по 11 червня. Слово для WWDC 2021 – “Світло і далі”.
Apple WWDC 2021: New versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS and more!
- iOS 15
- iPadOS 15
- macOS 12
- Watch 8
- TvOS 15
At the WWDC 2021 virtual event, we expect Apple to reveal its next iterations of software. We should expect to see about iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, watchOS 8 and of course tvOS 15. Apple should also release a developer beta for all these new operating systems. Since the event will be virtual, we expect it to be free for fall developers.
Just like last time, developers from around the world will be tuning in to witness the reveal. Developers could interact with Apple engineers through one-on-one lab assignments and engineering sessions. Alternatively, you can also chat with engineers through the Apple Developer Forums. All this would be absolutely free.
In addition to working on several software products, Apple is working on new versions of the iMac and MacBook Pro. In addition, the company plans to switch to its own line of silicon processors. It will be interesting to see if we hear about any of this at the upcoming WWDC 2021 conference.
On the other hand, Apple is also rumored to be working on a mixed reality headset, which is expected to arrive in 2022. There is a good chance that the company may tease the product in an upcoming event. That being said, they should be taken with a pinch of salt, as Apple is generally known for sticking to the software aspect of its WWDC conferences.
This time the event may see more attraction!
The previous iteration of Apple's WWDC was quite a successful event, and the root cause of that may have been the fact that it was held virtually. Since the event was free, Apple managed to attract 22 million viewers across all platforms. In fact, the company was able to show developers 72 hours of video content. Apple also maintained 4500 personal laboratories.
As the 2021 iteration will be modeled after the 2020 one, we expect the event to exceed baseline expectations.
