Realme kicked off the year in style with the launch of its Snapdragon 888-powered Realme GT flagship in China. At the end of the month, the company will unveil a new variant with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chip, which has been named Realme GT Neo. Now, a new report suggests that the company will unveil the Realme V31 at the same event on March 13. To date, the Realme V series remains an exclusive Chinese smartphone line. The devices are typically mid-range or budget phones with 5G connectivity.
The Realme V13 comes two months after the Realme V15 (Realme is clearly not interested in the next sequence of numbers here). The new design of the Realme V13 is quite reminiscent of the Realme V15 with some elements coming from the Realme V11 5G. On the front, the phone brings back Realme's favorite hole alignment. At the back, we have a quad-camera setup reminiscent of the V11 as well as the recently launched Realme 8 series.
Today, a Weibo user named “Arsenal” revealed the Realme V13 in all its glory. The handset has an alignment hole on the top left corner and the display is said to have a 90Hz refresh rate. We're pretty sure it's an HD+ display because of the budget nature of this lineup. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Other details include the 5G chipset – the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. The phone will also have a 5000mAh battery and a whopping 256GB of storage in the top-of-the-line version. It also has a 3,5mm headphone jack surrounded by a USB-C port and a speaker grille. The device comes in blue and black color options.
Realme V13 and GT Neo may be launched at the same event
According to the source, the phone shares similar specifications with Realme V5 and Realme Q2. However, this phone has the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset powering it. He also adds that the phone will pack 8GB of RAM and carry a price tag of RMB 1 (~$799). It will go on sale on March 275st and will also be sold in Chinese offline stores.
We are not sure if the Realme V13 will have a silent launch or if it will share space at the Realme GT Neo launch event. The latter has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The phone will also be equipped with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 camera and have 65W fast charging.
