ⓘ AOC introduced the GH200 and GH300 gaming headsets

AOC, one of the world's leading brands in the monitor market, continues to expand its model range with accessories for gamers and presents two gaming headsets at once, AOC GH200 and GH300.

The headset combines a stylish design, light and comfortable construction with powerful 50 mm drivers, as well as the presence of a microphone that can be removed. Both models are equipped with a reliable braided cable with a built-in remote control and delight users with unusual colors (with elements of the color "gun steel" in the GH200 and red inserts in the GH300). The GH200 is a stereo headset with a standard 3,5mm jack, while the GH300 connects to the system via a USB port and is positioned as a premium device with support for 7.1 virtual surround sound (PC only) and RGB lighting.

Any gamer who likes multiplayer shooters will agree that the sound in them is as important as the image quality. Surround sound allows players to determine the location of opponents and understand their intentions even before they see them on the screen of their monitors. Sound effects in games have long since reached a whole new level, helping users to better navigate and complementing the effect of presence that creates a visual series. High sound quality is important not only in first-person shooters, but also in other genres, for example, in story-oriented and role-playing games, where it helps to fully enjoy the epic soundtrack and dialogues. And in racing and flight simulators, the player will be able to hear how the engine and other mechanisms in his vehicle work in different conditions.

To ensure ideal sound quality, the AOC GH200 and GH300 headsets are equipped with 50 mm neodymium drivers with a resistance of 32 ohms (± 15%) and support for a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Players will also appreciate the detachable microphone for communicating with friends and teammates in in-game chat or voice applications such as Discord or Teamspeak. The omnidirectional microphone on the flexible boom can be easily installed to achieve the optimal level of comfort and sound quality. And thanks to the support of the frequency range of 100 Hz - 10 kHz (the approximate frequency range for human speech), the microphone effectively filters high- and low-frequency noises to achieve high-quality and clear voice transmission.

The full-size form factor of the headset helps to block out external sounds, for example, the loud operation of the PC cooling system or street noise. At the same time, ear pads made of high-quality artificial leather, filled with memory foam, provide maximum comfort even during long gaming sessions. The drivers of the headset are protected by a metal mesh to increase the reliability and durability of the design, and the adjustable headband with a metal frame will help to adjust it to any head size and effectively distributes the weight of the device.

AOC GH200 with 3,5 mm jack

AOC GH200 equipped with a 2-meter braided cable with a 3,5 mm jack, and a Y-splitter is included in the delivery to separate the microphone and headphone outputs for connection to the system if necessary. Thanks to the universal 3,5 mm connector, the headset is compatible with PCs, game consoles and mobile gadgets. The built-in remote control allows you to control the sound volume and turn on or off the microphone. The new product also supports Windows Sonic Spatial Sound for PC and Xbox. Elements of the color "weapon steel" give the headset a unique style and are perfectly combined with various components of modern PCs. At the same time, the restrained color scheme of the device is suitable for working video calls and training in remote mode.

In the model AOC GH300 a 2-meter cable is also used, but a USB interface is provided to connect to the system. Thanks to the support of virtual 7.1 surround sound, gamers will be able to accurately determine sound sources in games in order to react to the actions of opponents. Also, this technology will help you fully enjoy watching movies. The headset supports studio-quality sound in 24 bit/96 kHz and will help you get from games exactly the sensations that were intended by their authors. In addition to the protective metal mesh, the earcups are equipped with RGB lighting elements that support 4 modes of operation ("breathing", cyclic, static and without backlight). You can control the backlight using the remote control built into the cable, which is also designed to change the sound volume and turn on/off the microphone. A special LED indicator is located on the microphone boom, which will remind the user that the sound is currently muted.

The wire construction can be called another advantage of the new products, as it provides a reliable connection and sound transmission without delays and distortions due to compression, which is characteristic of wireless models.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
