За чутками, Huawei P50 повинен був стати першим смартфоном компанії з операційною системою HarmonyOS 2.0 замість Android, але за новими даними, цього не відбудеться. Все через те, що прем’єра та випуск P50 були відкладені, але Huawei не збирається вагатися із заміною Android на HarmonyOS. Тому перша партія моделей, які отримають HarmonyOS 2.0, тепер виглядає так. Серії Huawei Mate X2, P40 і Mate 40. Усі вони перейдуть на фірмову «заміну Android» у квітні. Одночасно очікується новий телевізор Huawei з HarmonyOS 2.0.
As with other Huawei and Honor smartphones, those who received EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0 will move to HarmonyOS before the end of the year, but in stages, depending on the SoCs. Today, the only exception is the Honor V40. Some models with EMUI 10.1 and Magic UI 3.1 will be transferred directly to HarmonyOS; to bypass the intermediate stage in the form of EMUI 11 / Magic UI 4.0. These smartphones include Huawei nova 7 SE, Honor 30S, Honor X10, Honor 9X and a number of others. Unfortunately, smartphones based on MediaTek SoC platforms are not included in the current plans to migrate to HarmonyOS.
The first Huawei smartphone with Harmony OS
A few days ago, Huawei Technologies secured the right to use the Huawei P60, P70, P80, P90 and P100 trademarks. This shows that the company is quite optimistic about the future and is not going to give up the brand it has so easily created over the years.
We will remind you that since last year, Huawei has not been able to freely buy SoCs and other components from American companies. Manufacturers who want to do business with Huawei must obtain a license; but it does not allow to transport all necessary components. Thus, the upcoming Huawei P50 lineup will use last year's Kirin 9000 SoC.
The Huawei P50 smartphone is expected to be the first non-standard device to run the new operating system Hongmeng OS, or Harmony OS, as it is called outside of China. Also thanks to the debut in this smartphone there is a Sony IMX800 image sensor; which will be the world's first mobile 1-inch optical format sensor.
According to the latest reports, the presentation of the Huawei P50 has been postponed to May this year.
