The brand is already on its way and is already negotiating with AMD and Intel to supply hardware for the upcoming Honor Magicbook laptops. During the interview, George Zhao talked about building new teams, investing in research and development, and moving to new offices.
Honor's CEO confirmed that the new devices will have improved cameras and imaging features, as the team now works with external partners and does not rely solely on internal companies, as Huawei does.
Honor: plans for the future
According to a previous report, Honor will launch its first true super flagship after ditching Huawei this July. It is clear that it will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
We will remind that in January of this year, the company Honor presented the flagship smartphone Honor V40; but its platform (MediaTek Dimensity 1000+) cannot be called truly flagship. As previously reported, Honor is currently receiving Snapdragon 888, Dimensity 1100, Dimensity 1200 and many other platforms from vendors. The company will soon launch Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition, Honor 40S, Honor 10C, Honor X20 and Honor 40.
Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will be based on MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC. On the front, it will have a notch in the center top of the screen. From the back, the device looks exactly like the Huawei Nova 8 5G. As already announced, the device will be officially unveiled on March 23 via an online broadcast.
Sources add that the Honor V40 Lite Luxury Edition will support 65W fast charging and a 3800mAh battery. The display will support a refresh rate of 90 Hz; and the fingerprint sensor will be located under the surface of the screen.
Back at the end of last year, Zhao Ming, the CEO of the company, announced that the company will launch a super flagship in the future, and will also have counterparts from the Huawei Mate and Huawei P series.
Honor became independent from Huawei late last year. In addition, Honor hopes to surpass its former parent company.
