Honor V40's new surface and design is anything but new

Huawei is fighting all the gains imposed by the US ban. The company decided to reduce its smartphone line by focusing on fewer devices, and the first move was seen last November when the Honor sub-brand was sold to a Chinese conglomerate. This allows Huawei to focus only on its Huawei-branded smartphones, which currently mostly consist of flagship phones. Honor will also be free to use US-related technologies and deal with US-related companies. In other words, future Honor phones can use Google Mobile Services for free and can also be powered by a Qualcomm chipset. By the end of the year, Honor introduced its Honor View 40. However, now the company is preparing a new wave of phones, possibly with Google Mobile Services and Android 11. Today, a new version of the Honor V40 Light Luxury Edition has appeared. But the design of the phone is not new to those familiar with Huawei phones. In fact, the phone looks just like the Huawei nova 8. It has an oval island with one huge lens, three smaller cameras and one LED flash.

The new phone may go official as the Honor V40 Lite

The phone has a generic name, but we believe it might be renamed Honor V40 Lite once it becomes official. Interestingly, the phone once again captures the stylish look of the Honor brand. We have a blue-green color with a mirror finish that bends the light for a stunning look. The white variant appears to have frosted glass on top, adding a mother of pearl gradient. Interestingly, we can't spot a visible fingerprint scanner in these images. For this reason, we believe it was placed under the display, which confirms an OLED panel.

Unfortunately, we can't see the handset's display, so its front remains a mystery. If it comes with a single hole, it could just be a rebranded Huawei nova 8, if there is a dual latch, then the nova 8 Pro is getting the rebranding process. It is interesting to observe that even as an independent company, Honor is rebranding existing Huawei smartphones. The company may have bought more than just the Honor name and acquired a solid stock of smartphones ready for release.

As of now, there is no information regarding the launch of this new Honor smartphone. We will have to wait for details from the company.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
