See when LG smartphones in Europe will receive the Android 11 update

LG is struggling to keep its smartphone business afloat. With all that, the company is still trying to give its previous smartphones the best. LG Velvet and LG V60 have been updated to Android 11 in South Korea. However, the European version has not yet received this update. According to a recent report, many LG phones will receive this update (Android 11) this year. While some will receive it in April, others will have to wait until the fourth quarter of this year. See the list below

The LG Velvet 5G should receive the Android 11 update sometime in April, while the LG G8X will receive the update later in May or Q4. The 8G version of the LG Velvet and LG G52S will be updated sometime in the third quarter, while the LG Wing, K42 and K12 are expected to be updated in October or later in the fourth quarter. In other regions and carrier versions, you may need to wait longer. Once these devices are updated, Android XNUMX will be launched in one to two months.

The LG V60 ThinQ UW is now receiving the Android 11 update

One of the things that definitely helped LG lose consumer trust was the delay in updates. The brand is one of the slowest smartphone brands to release updates. Until now, the only device to receive Android 11 was the LG Velvet, but still only one of its variants. Well, it recently added the LG V60 ThinQ 5G UW from Verizon.
The carrier-locked smartphone is the first LG handset to receive Android 11 in the US. And this comes almost half a year after Google first released the final version of the OS. In fact, the search giant has already started working on Android 12, and soon more companies will start their respective development. In any case, Verizon says that the Android 11 update for the LG V60 ThinQ 5G UW includes the January 2021 security patch level, which is not currently available, but better than before.

The LG V60 ThinQ 5G UW is the first LG smartphone in the US to receive Android 11

The new assembly is released with firmware version V600VM20A. As you'd expect, the Android 11 update brings chat bubbles, one-touch permission controls, a revamped media notification, and more. As for the LG UX, the update introduces new quick settings icons, focus mode, sleep mode, side-by-side sharing, and the volume bar has been moved to the top left. It's worth noting that this update is rolling out gradually. So it might take a couple of days to get to all eligible units of the LG V60 ThinQ 5G UW (that's the generic name).

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
