The iPhone 13 series has a smaller notch and a 120Hz screen

If there is something wrong with Apple, it is the usual delay in introducing new technologies to their smartphones. For example, we can recall the design of the iPhone display. The company has been sticking to the same wide-format solution since 2017. Wide necklines have never been a favorite among users, and for this reason, companies have quickly moved to water cutouts and, more recently, hole cutouts. While Apple sticks to this design, it does so for a reason – the wide notch houses the quirky Face ID system. The biggest update the company has made recently in the display department has been the change to OLED. Last year, we heard a few rumors that the iPhone 12 Pro would feature a 120Hz display, but that turned out to be untrue. Now, Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, says that important changes will come from the iPhone 13 series. If you're tired of the iPhone X-esque design, then the iPhone 13 family will probably be more appealing.

The iPhone 13 series will have smaller cutouts, ultra-wide cameras and larger batteries

According to Kuo, this series will debut in the iPhone 13 series. There will again be four models with the same screen sizes as the current lineup. Even the controversial Mini variant will be retained. All four devices will have a smaller notch and a Lightning port. Kuo, however, confirms rumors that Apple can make an iPhone without a portable network with a MagSafe connector. However, the technology will not allow to reduce the iPhone 13 series. He claims that the first pristine iPhones could appear in 2022, or 2023 if things go wrong.

iPhone 13 models will have a new ultra-wide camera with an aperture of f / 1.8 and autofocus. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will have LiDAR scanners and 120Hz LTPO displays. For the first time, Apple will switch to a high screen refresh rate. Once again, these devices will be full 5G phones thanks to Qualcomm's 5nm X60M 5G modem.

Another nice upgrade is battery backup. While last year's iPhone received a power cut, the iPhone 13 series will bring a major upgrade. According to the report, Apple has an economic space innovative solution, which consists in embedding the SIM slot on the motherboard. However, larger batteries also make devices heavier. Honestly, I don't see anyone complaining about it.

The analyst also provides details on the iPhone Fold, Touch ID, and Periscope Zoom

According to the analyst, Apple's first foldable iPhone will have a screen between 7,5 and 8 inches. It will enter the market only in 2023. The brand will ditch the Face ID cutout for the cut-out selfie camera in 2022. In addition, an iPhone with an inaccessible Touch ID display and a periscope camera may arrive in 2023.

Aside from the foldable display, which is really difficult for any manufacturer other than Samsung right now, we can say that it's a shame to see that the under-display scanner and periscope camera won't be ready for this year's iPhone. Again, iPhone users won't be able to get the best of modern technology packed into a smartphone. However, this will not affect iPhone sales.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
