Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a leading manufacturer of devices for industrial applications, introduces the 2,5-inch SSD530K industrial-grade solid state drive. The drive is built on the basis of 3D NAND flash memory, equipped with a SATA III 6 Gbit/s interface and a DRAM cache. Thanks to the use of SLC mode, this solid-state drive can withstand up to 100 thousand write/erase cycles. To increase durability, the technologies of corner pouring and dynamic thermal regulation are applied, as well as the possibility of working in an extended range of operating temperatures (from -20°C to 70°C).
Support for up to 100 write/erase cycles
The SSD530K storage device is built on the basis of high-quality BiCS4 3D NAND flash memory with 96 layers. Compared to drives built on the basis of BiCS3 NAND, which can only have up to 64 layers of flash memory, the new device has a much higher recording density. And the use of SLC mode allows the drive to withstand up to 100 write/erase cycles, not inferior to devices based on SLC NAND memory, while demonstrating high performance and an optimal level of reliability.
Performance up to 560 MB/s
Thanks to the use of the SATA III 6 Gbit/s interface and the cache based on DDR3 type memory, the SSD530K drive demonstrates a high read and write speed, which reaches 560 and 490 MB/s, respectively. In addition, the SSD530K drive demonstrates performance of up to 88 IOPS during random read and write operations for 000K data blocks. This reduces the loading time and provides an almost instantaneous system response when working with resource-intensive applications.
Reliable work in a variety of conditions
The new SSD530K drive can function in an extended range of operating temperatures (from -20°C to 75°C), which ensures stable and reliable operation in a variety of climatic conditions. The use of dynamic thermal regulation technology allows you to maintain stable performance, preventing overheating, and the use of angle casting technology increases the reliability of components at high thermal stress, vibration loads, gravitational accelerations and constant cyclic loads. The new industrial drive uses the built-in LDPC ECC (Low-Density Parity Check) error correction function, as well as other technologies: Global Wear-Leveling, Garbage Collection, SMART, TRIM, NCQ, which allow to increase the service life and increase the stability of operation when using them in embedded and industrial systems characterized by a high intensity of data recording requests.
The solid-state drive SSD530K with a capacity of 128 gigabytes is able to withstand up to 6400 TB of recording, ensuring that all the most important data will be reliably saved.
Transcend SSD Scope Pro software
The proprietary software package SSD Scope Pro has an intuitive and understandable interface and allows you to monitor the health of the drive, helping to use and maintain built-in solid-state drives more efficiently. Among its functions: drive information, SMART status, diagnostic scan, reliable data deletion, drive health indicator, system cloning, and remote monitoring. With the SSD Management Center, users can check the status of SSDs in real-time, receive notifications and remotely perform firmware updates, which allows for timely maintenance of drives, minimizing downtime.
Capacity and warranty
The Transcend SSD530K solid state drive is offered in 64GB and 128GB options, and is backed by Transcend's three-year limited warranty.
