POCO sells 250 units of POCO M000 in just two weeks

POCO got off to a rough start in 2021 in terms of relevance thanks to its rebranding strategy. Although their devices sold well, they were just a rebrand of Redmi and that wasn't enough to satisfy all the POCO fans won over by the Pocophone F1.

However, in September, the brand introduced its first original phone in the form of the POCO X3 NFC. The device delivered a nice set of specs, a great 120Hz display at a low price and was a hit. A few months later, the brand introduced the POCO M3, which is also the original phone. POCO M3 comes for the low-end segment but also offers impressive specs for its price.

The device went official in India earlier this month and reports suggest it could be another POCO hit in the country.

The POCO M3 price in India starts at INR 10 and the device is available in two storage options. It is interesting that the Indian market is the only one with a RAM variant of 999 GB. POCO today announced that it has sold over 6 units of the POCO M250 in India.

The brand reached the limit two weeks after the first sale of the smartphone. The brand has also organized a special Hello Yellow sale for the POCO M3 “Poco Yellow” colorway. With such an amazing sales volume, we wouldn't be surprised to see the device cross the 500 mark in a couple of months.

POCO M3 specifications

For those who don't know, POCO M3 is a budget smartphone with decent specs like Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 and a huge battery. The device flaunts a 6,53-inch FHD+ display with a teardrop notch on top serving as a home for the front-facing camera. This panel is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 certified and WideVine L1 certified. The only downside is that it's a standard 60Hz display.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset. It is paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 / 2.2 internal storage. As we mentioned above, it has a neat 6000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging via USB-C port. In the camera department, the Triple-Camera function is installed.

It includes a 48-megapixel main sensor that comes along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The only major downside in the camera department is the lack of an ultra-wide camera. For those who need an ultra-wide sensor, Xiaomi's Redmi 9 Power is the best choice.

POCO M3 runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. We're assuming it's eligible for the Android 11 update.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
