ⓘ Tet increases investments in data centers and launches a virtual tour of one of them

date

The company Tet (formerly Lattelecom) - the largest IT integrator in the Baltic States - offers to visit the European data center (data center) at any time, using the capabilities of the newly created virtual 3D tour. This will allow anyone willing to get acquainted with the functionality and arrangement of one of the most secure data centers in Europe - the Dattum data center, which has a TIERIII certificate.

"The challenging year 2020 clearly demonstrated the importance of IT solutions and outsourcing. We record a 4% and 10% year-on-year increase in data center and cloud services turnover in all markets, respectively, despite the crisis. We have already filled 80% of data center resources, so we aimed to expand one of them. It is expected that the project will be completed already this year, providing our customers with 60 more racks." - says chairman of the board Tet, c. at. executive director Uldis Tatarchuk.

Tet experts plan simultaneously with the expansion of the data center in Riga to implement solutions to optimize energy consumption, improving the utilization efficiency ratio energy (PUE Power Usage Effectiveness).

"The European Commission has defined a goal for operators in the EU completely get rid of the negative impact on the climate by 2030. Therefore, when expanding the data center, we will pay special attention to cooling systems with the lowest PUE. explains director of business development of Tet data centers Maris Sperga.

Solving the educational task, as well as adhering to the principles of open business, Tet created a virtual 3D tour of one of the most secure data centers in Europe Dattum. The data center has a number of certificates confirming its security and fault tolerance, among them TIERIII, PCI DSS and ISO.

The tour is available to anyone on the Tet cloud and data center services website and compatible with virtual reality (VR) devices.
