Samsung will no longer provide security updates for four mid-range phones
Samsung recently made some changes to the list of devices for monthly security updates. In the new list, four smartphones released in 2017 have been removed from the support list. These are Samsung Galaxy J3 Pop, Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017, Galaxy A7 2017. This means that these smartphones will no longer receive security updates. In addition, the list also does not include the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G. However, this device is quite new and had to be removed by mistake.

Additionally, Samsung has moved the Galaxy A8 2018 from a monthly update plan to a quarterly update list; Galaxy A8s moved to “other regular” patch list. If there is no security update, then the possibility of detecting vulnerabilities in the version of the OS running on the device will increase. The four mobile phones that Samsung removed this time were discontinued and their holdings are not high, so Samsung has decided to stop supporting them.

Samsung Galaxy F41 gets One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11

Samsung used to be one of the less reliable companies when it came to providing software updates. The brand has been one of the brands pushing Android fragmentation forward. However, most of them are not updated to newer versions of Android. This began to change with the arrival of One UI (Android 9 Pie). Today, the company is one of the fastest smartphone brands to deliver Android updates. It still has a bunch of smartphones, but most of them are updated to the latest Android 11 update, which comes with One UI 3.0 on top. Interestingly, while many companies are trying to bring Android 11 to their flagships, Samsung has already started offer updates for their mid-range phones. Today, it's time for the Galaxy F41 to get the same treatment.
Samsung launched the Galaxy F-series last year as a “camera-centric” line. Well, basically, this is a strange series of smartphones. Since then, we've seen more rebranding than anything else. For example, the Galaxy F41 is practically a Galaxy M31 with one less camera and no NFC support. More F smartphones are coming soon, and most of them seem to be based on the existing Galaxy M or A devices. Despite this confusing existence, it's good to see that Samsung will provide the same treatment as the A and M series. Today, the Galaxy F41 gets One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11 in India.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
