Today, Huawei's official Weibo channel announced that the Huawei Mate X2 foldable phone will be released on February 22. To be honest, we reported this a few days ago. But only a few people thought it could happen.

According to previously leaked information, the Huawei Mate X2 will adopt a foldable dual screen inside. As such, it differs from the design adopted by Samsung. Screen suppliers include Samsung, BOE and other panel suppliers.

The smartphone will use an 8,01-inch internal foldable primary screen with a resolution of 2480 × 2200. The external secondary screen will measure 6,45 inches with a resolution of 2700 × 1160. The machine will be powered by Huawei's latest Kirin 9000 processor.

The latter uses a 5nm process, integrates 15,3 billion transistors and a Mali-G24 78-core GPU, adopts an eight-core CPU design with 2 large cores and 1 small NPU core. There is also a quad-camera module that consists of a combination of 50MP + 16MP + 12MP + 8MP sensors.

It also includes a periscopic telephoto lens and supports 10x hybrid optical zoom. In addition, the machine has a built-in 4400 mAh battery with a body size of 161,8 × 145,8 × 8,2 mm.

Previously, the Huawei Mate X2 was certified for network access. At that time, we learned that it will come with a brand new patented technology that can show a better folding screen effect.

Huawei Mate X2 has been delayed several times

In October of last year, Huawei released the flagship smartphones of the 40 series. So, taking into account the previous practice, the following models should belong to the complex line of Mate Xs. However, it seems that the update for phones with foldable screens will take longer. Later, @RODENT950 noted that the new generation of Huawei Mate X2 folding screen will be delayed. Initially, it was planned to be released in early January.

Generally speaking, there are several predictions that there will be many foldable screen smartphones coming our way from various manufacturers including Xiaomi, OPPO and VIVO. Before that, we learned that the Xiaomi model will be the first among these three. So Huawei, as a veteran in some sense, decided to accelerate the pace of the launch and take the initiative.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
