HMD Global received a license for mobile phones under the Nokia brand in 2016. To date, the company has released a huge number of smartphones in the mid-range and entry-level segments. So far, the brand has released only one flagship, dubbed the Nokia 9 PureView, but unfortunately, it's largely failed. Although the brand has yet to return to the high-end segment, it continues to offer affordable phones. Apart from smartphones, the company has also updated its portfolio of feature phones with a range of new 4G and KaiOS enabled devices. Now the company is going to bring back a new feature phone with a flip design, 4G connectivity and KaiOS.

The Nokia 2720 has just passed FCC certification with model number TA-1295. As mentioned above, the device will ship with KaiOS, which has a very lightweight software. It also supports popular apps to be ported to it, and the phone will support manual installation of Google Duo. Some social media apps like WhatsApp and Facebook now have versions for KaiOS.

The new clamshell Nokia 2720 will have 4G and Wi-Fi

According to the FCC certification, the new smartphone will be equipped with a 1500 mAh battery with the model designation BV-6A. The phone will also have a nano-SIM slot and will support 4G LTE. In terms of Wi-Fi connectivity, it provides Wi-Fi 5 standard with support for a single 2,4 GHz connection. The Wi-Fi antenna will also be used for Bluetooth and GPS. Hopefully it will also have MP3 support and a microSD card slot for music storage. After all, these devices are really useful as media players.

Unfortunately, there are still few details about the Nokia 2720. We expect more detailed information to appear in the coming days. After all, the FCC listing suggests the device is nearing release. As always, Nokia can focus on the markets where it deploys its feature phones. India will definitely get this new layout. We expect this to be a very affordable device for people who don't need a smartphone that often. These devices can also be used as backup phones.

HMD Global is preparing a new affordable smartphone called the Nokia 2.5 (previous name). However, we don't expect both devices to launch on the same date. Nokia tends to use different dates to separate its smartphone and feature phone lineups.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
