Redmi will officially release a new one Redmi K40 series in the next month. This smartphone comes with a 4000mAh battery and has a starting price of 2999 yuan (US$464). Today, the latest report about this phone says that it could use the smallest pixel in the world. According to @DigitalChatStation, the Redmi K40 will feature a 2,8mm ultra-small aperture screen. If there are no changes, this will be the largest small pixel in the industry.

Assumptions about the Redmi K40

According to @DigitalChatStation, this new Redmi series will have a full-screen OLED display with a frequency of 120 Hz. In addition, Lu Weibing and Wang Teng confirmed that the K40 display could be the most expensive direct screen in the industry. However, this device will also excel as an "economy device".

We know that the Redmi K30 Pro uses a pop-up full-screen mode, which is not a very common design for 5G devices. One of the disadvantages is the use of a direct screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Well, it looks like Redmi will make the same mistake with the K40 series. Obviously going from 60Hz to 120Hz is a huge leap. The overall quality of this display will be top-notch, at least that's what we expect. Elsewhere, the Redmi K40 screen is expected to use Samsung E4's luminescent OLED display. This phone will also come with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage.

As for its processor, it is speculated that the Redmi K40 has already been confirmed to come with the flagship SoC Snapdragon 888. However, there will be a special edition with a different chip. If this version uses the recently released Snapdragon 870, it should be cheaper.

Yesterday afternoon, MediaTek officially released the Dimensity 1200 chip, which uses TSMC's 6nm process. According to Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing, Redmi will introduce this processor. However, there is no mention of the phone that will use this chip.

The Redmi K40 battery can work for more than 35 hours, says Lu Weibing

Xiaomi Group Vice President and Redmi CEO Lu Weibing continues to warm up the Redmi K40 series. Recently, his Weibo post showed a screenshot detailing the phone's battery performance. From the image we can see that Redmi K40 still has 64% capacity after 10,5 hours of continuous use. In addition, the MIUI system forecast shows that the device will still work for 25 hours with 64% remaining. This means that the K40 can work for up to 35,5 hours of continuous use.

However, Lu Weibing did not disclose the terms of use. That is, 10 hours of normal use, 10 hours of moderate use, 10 hours of standby or 10 hours of power saving mode. However, the bottom line is that the Redmi K40 will come with a pretty good battery. The screenshot also shows that the resolution of this device is 2400 x 1080.

I have always been interested in IT technologies. And since my previous many years of professional activity (which is design and pre-press preparation) is not possible without their help, it so happened that everything that was related to computers (for example, collecting and modernizing "hardware", as well as configuring software ) I always had to do it myself.

Well, with the advent of gadgets in our lives, the scope of my interests expanded to include them as well.

I like to study and analyze the capabilities of various devices, and for many years, before buying anything new, I always study the capabilities of each potential model for a long time and carefully, spend quite a long and painstaking work, read reviews, reviews and comparisons.

The reward for my time is usually that most of the time I really do get the best of what I can get within my budget.
